Axel Hubert has joined the team as our newest ambassador for Pebax Powered® in 2020!

Originally from Bernay, France, Axel is one of the top French athletes in Decathlon.  Since age of 5, Axel has shown a huge interest in sports, especially for total athleticism, a passion that has been transmitted by his parents. Through the years, the young athlete has proven that he could be excel at many events, so he started competing in Decathlon five years ago.

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018, Axel received a grant to study for a semester at Texas Tech University in which he competed as a Red Raider in the Decathlon and set two University records!

Now he's returned to France and Axel’s new objective is to devote himself to the Decathlon discipline and participate in the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics Games.

What is DECATHLON?

The decathlon (Deka= ten / Athlos = feat) is a track & field event consisting of ten track & field sub-events over a period of two days.

Day 1: 100m sprint, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400m

Day 2: 110m hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and 1500m

Points are awarded for classification in each of the events. At the end, the athlete with the most points wins the Decathlon.

It is a discipline that draws on mental, physical, and technical qualities.
